Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park, New York

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park, New York, was originally designed by louis kahn in 1974, economic factors put the project on hold until funds had been raised for the the completion of the project by Mitchell Giurgola Architects. 
Visitors are channeled along a white granite plinth lined with trees to a courtyard which holds a bronze bust Franklin D. Roosevelt, on the backside, the four freedoms speech is engraved as a symbol of the president's legacy. the project is set to continue expanding with the 19th-century small pox hospital at the end of the site being transformed into a visitor center.
