University of Aberdeen Library

The University of Aberdeen library by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects in Scotland, was established in 1495. 
The campus is the world's fifth oldest english language university, and this new 15,500 square meter facility accommodates 14,000 students with 1,200 reading spaces, archives, historical collections and a room for rare books. There is an clear contrast between the obvious gemoetry of the box exterior and the askew curved voids that rise throught the interior space.

As part of the renovation Stedelijk Museum, interior hospitality areas by Concern, and the exterior structure by Benthem Crouwel, have created a seemless relationship between the interior an exterior of this space, thats spills out into the heart of the city's museum square

The Crystal, a sustainable cities initiative by global technology company siemens, creating the world's 
largest exhibition about urban sustainability.

The building itself is a demonstration in this, with solar panels and ground source heat pumps meet the buildings electricity needs, eliminating the burning of fossil fuels, and all rainwater is harvested and recycled or reused within the interior.

houseWING, Seoul, Korea

houseWING is a residential project by AnLstudio and Heebon. Within historical building, the space has been renovated into a studio environment. The space accommodates both public and private usage, with the airplane wing cutting through the public part of the space, and leading away from the private rooms.

The Euro 2012 Junction by OZONE Architectural studio, was created to transport and connect the large crowds of visitors and spectators to the Stadium in Wroclaw during european football championships. Methods of public transport are vertically layered, railway on the ground level and the tram and bus stops above with direct access to the stadium, minimising the need for private vehicles.

The University of the Pacific building by Metropolis, is five levels with  a large central atrium core, with classrooms on every floor, all of which look out to the rest of the campus through a facade with neon blue mullions that glow at night.

 converts natural forces into energy while maintaining an low profile in the alpine environment. 
This is neat solution to house loud, bulky machinery while making little visual impact to the area.

The Orfila Flat in the Chamberi neighborhood of central Madrid, byarchitects Schneider Colao, is a renovation within a historic 19th century apartment building. The original interior of the flat was gutted, replaced by structural framework that allowed a modern open plan living space.

It's new processor means it runs two times quicker, with graphics that are twice as fast, and is Apple's first smartphone capable of 4G. Apple has upgraded the camera to include new features such as a low-light mode and a panorama feature.
